Energy City Qatar signs MoU with leading security services provider

The Middle East's first energy hub, Energy City Qatar (ECQ), today announced its strategic collaboration with EMEA Enterprise Solutions WLL at Cityscape Dubai 2007.

The signing of the MoU between the two parties signals the beginning of a strategic partnership that will enable ECQ to develop, build and operate a state of art, high capacity physical security infrastructure, by providing basic and premium data center, IP and end user services to its tenants. This will ultimately support the development and serve the commercial objectives of ECQ.

EMEA is a leading provider of security services in the region and will design, build and operate a Security Service and Security Operations Center for Energy City Qatar.

Commenting on this strategic partnership, Eng. Hisham Al Emadi, Energy City Qatar CEO said: 'As the region's first full-service energy business center, I'm very delighted to join forces with EMEA. When effectively applied, technology will be a core value offering for ECQ tenants. The development of the appropriate technology infrastructure can play a major role in the success and growth of the project.'

He added: 'One of our core objectives is providing our partners with innovative, accessible and dynamic products and solutions tailored specifically to the requirements of the energy industry. We believe that EMEA will be the right partner in providing the cutting-edge security services necessary to the success of ECQ.'

Eng Al Emadi added: 'ECQ with its advanced product offerings will cater to the commercial, technical and human resource needs of the oil and gas industry operating in the region; tenants will be able to interact and discover new opportunities, innovations and synergies for enhancing their operations.'

ECQ as the world's first e-city will provide the hydrocarbon industry with an ideal platform to interact, compete and co-operate at various commercial and technical levels.
