CA contributes over Dhs70,000 to Dubai Cares initiative
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, October 21 - 2007 at 12:37
- PRESS RELEASE
CA today announced a donation of Dhs73,400 to Dubai Cares, the fundraising campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dubai Cares is raising money to help educate one million children in poor countries worldwide.
"CA's mission is to share our resources, technology and expertise worldwide to help others reach their fullest potential and achieve more. Our global community relations program is driven by a core philanthropic focus on improving educational opportunities for underserved children and young people. The Dubai Cares initiative couldn't be a better fit. We are delighted to be showing solidarity with our community and commitment to social responsibility, to achieve the goal of supporting children's education worldwide,"
said Gilbert Lacroix, Senior Vice President of Channels for CA.
The main goals of the Dubai Cares campaign are to bring the multicultural community of Dubai together and to focus their collective attention on raising funds for a global cause, and to proactively address Dubai's role as a Global Citizen by delivering unrealized opportunities to the children in our beneficiary countries through providing them access to Children's Primary Education.
The donation will fund projects such as the building and renovation of schools, providing teachers with training and teaching materials, school scholarships, school feeding programs, school physicals including vaccinations, school supplies and school sports and recreation equipment.
CA, Inc. also provides financial support to the Young Arab Leaders organization to promote youth development in the region.
