Country pavilions to have an imposing presence at the 23rd MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show

The 23rd MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show, which will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from October 24 - 28, 2007, will witness an imposing presence of pavilions from Hong Kong - China, India, Italy, Thailand, and Singapore.
The Indian and Italian pavilions that will feature 23 exhibitors and 12 exhibitors respectively, on the other hand, will display some of the season's most exquisite and intricately crafted jewellery creations, both traditional and contemporary.
As in the last edition, the pavilions from Thailand and Singapore will continue to be a major attraction for those on the look out for precious stones, gems, and medium ranged gold and diamond jewellery.
Besides country pavilions, the coming edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show will also see a strong presence of individual exhibitors. The event, occupying a total exhibition area of 16,000 sq. m., will be hosting over 350 master jewellers. Displays will include diamonds, precious stones, loose pearls, gold and diamond jewellery, diamond and pearl sets, and watches. Among the countries from which a majority of the individual exhibitors have confirmed participation in the event are Turkey, Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri lanka, Malaysia, and the UAE.
Some of the major jewellers participating in the coming edition of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show include Damas, Al Anwar, Amouaj, Al Dahaam, Salem al Shuaibi, and Mahalati.
Besides a very large number of jewellers who have been participating in the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show year after year due to its firm reach over jewellery connoisseurs in the region, the coming edition will also feature several new exhibitors. Jewellers who will be participating in the Show for the first time include India-based G.V. Sons, Phorum Jewels, Beauty Gems & Jewellery, Bamalwa Jewellery and Goenka Exports, Italy-based Red Velvet, K.V srl, Maggio Teresa and Damianacos Damiano, Lebanon-based Paul Anourian and Khabbaz, Saudi Arabia-based Lazurde Jewellery, Singapore-based Asian Carat and Kinger Jewellery, Thailand-based YCP Jewellry, Evershine Jewels, CHC Diamonds, and D.Garo Jewellery, Malaysia-based Triangle Jewellery, and UAE-based Aratry Jewels, Wafi Jewels, Mohammed Rasool Khoury, and Prima Gold among others.
As has been the trend in previous editions, several leading jewellers will utilize the 23rd MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show as a platform for launching their season's latest collections in the region. Visitors to the Show can therefore expect to be treated to a fascinating variety of gold and diamond jewellery and watches from the autumn collection.
"The MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show is once again ready to enthrall visitors," said Mr. Saif Al Midfa, Director General of Expo Centre Sharjah.
"The coming edition of the Show is significantly bigger in terms of both occupied exhibition space and number of exhibitors compared to the last edition. With so many of the world's finest jewellers gathering under one roof, there is no doubt that jewellery connoisseurs in the region will be spoilt for choice," he added.
Besides offering the most vibrant and captivating range of traditional and contemporary jewellery creations, the coming MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show holds another major attraction. All visitors will be eligible to win gold bars and other fabulous prizes through the raffle draw that will be held on the last day of the event.
The MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show will be open to both trade and public daily from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm except Friday. It will be open exclusively to ladies on October 25 and 27 between 10 am and 2 pm.
The MidEast Watch and Jewellery is an initiative of Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the World Gold Council.
