Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh appoints new Executive Pastry Chef

This year, Martin Frowd celebrated 20 years in the hospitality industry by accepting his first position in the Four Seasons family.

He recently joined Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, where he will bring his extensive culinary experience to the role of Executive Pastry Chef.

Martin started his career in catering in 1987, in a small speciality bakers and confectioners in Cornwall, United Kingdom. Since then, he has worked all over the world for a number of international players in the industry such as Hilton and Starwood, and has served pastries, patisserie and desserts to everyone from Hilary Clinton to Oprah Winfrey.

Prior to joining Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, Martin worked for Sun International in South Africa as Executive Pastry Chef overseeing and upgrading 17 properties and food and beverage operations around Southern Africa.

With his distinctly creative approach to cuisine, which is combined with strong management and highly-effective operational skills, Martin promises to be a great asset to the Four Seasons Hotel team in Riyadh.

Martin, who was born in South Africa but has British parents, has a French wife and two sons. In his free time, he indulges his passion for the ocean with diving, sailing, water skiing and fishing.
