"We are proud to be the official carrier for this distinctive event, which has attracted the largest of audience, year after year, since it provides an opportunity to look at creative television ads, helping to enrich the experiences of the audience. 'The Night of the AdEaters' is a unique advertising festival started by Frenchman Jean Marie Boursicot, who has taken his passion for adfilms seriously and collected over 750,000 clips of ads from all over the world. Until the 80's no one had thought of creating an ad library. He archived these little pieces of art, which are also a reflection of our contemporary society, and came up with a brilliant idea of grouping these ads and showing them during ad-marathons under the name La Nuit des Publivores. The concept has been so successful over the last 26 years that it has traveled around the world and arrives now to Muscat."

Mr. Mohammed Al Shikely also added that Oman Air support for the event comes from it being an effective element and a distinctive ad method within the local advertising industry, also emphasizes with the principles and objectives of this event, which promotes innovation within the marketing communication industry. He said that 'The Night of the AdEaters' is a combination of exciting atmosphere mixed with various types of arts, cinemas, theater, television and an innovative sense of art creativity at the highest level.

The annual event provides consistent access to the strangest and most groundbreaking global ads, which creates a climate of debate and exchange of views between the audiences. Al Shikely explained that 'The Night of the AdEaters' is an established and anticipated annual event that has taken place in 160 cities across 50 countries, from France, Geneva, Russia, and Japan to China, Santiago de Chile, Mexico and many other countries.

It was created in 1981 and has since grown into one of the most interesting festivals and quickly conquered France and the rest of the world. On the menu usually are many films, some of which have never been shown in this format. International, exotic, even historic in flavor (going from 1898 to the present), the offering translates the vitality and the trends from the different parts of the world of advertising. He Concluded by affirming that ads are actually the reflection of a society in transition, therefore, if you ever want to find out what a country is like at this particular time and moment, all you have to do is look at the 100 most successful ads, not necessarily the best ads to find out.

'The Night of the AdEaters' will have two shows to be held at the Palm Gardens, Muscat Intercontinental Hotel on October 24 and 25, 2007.
