The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai (KHDA) received the contribution from the school this morning, in a ceremony where children displayed their enthusiasm towards the cause and their commitment to the humanitarian aspect that the campaign represents.

Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of KHDA said, "The children's keenness to help other children in poverty stricken countries was quite evident from the stories and the healthy competition amongst them. The campaign has reiterated the spirit of giving among the students. KHDA is proud of the efforts put in by every student and parent. They are the real champions of this campaign."

The 20-year old school has a history of commitment towards charitable causes. As soon as Dubai Cares was announced the school set about raising funds with a raffle system without even waiting for the Schools program to begin. With high parental support, the children managed to raise the said funds.

Commenting on the occasion, Darryl Bloud, Executive Principal of Dubai Modern High School said, "This is education - when we are sensitive to the needs of children around the world."
