DM launches Corporate Policies Programme

Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of Corporate Policies Programme, which is being implemented as a culmination of its strategic policy system.
As part of the Programme, the Administrative Development and Quality Department will be organizing a three-day workshop on corporate policies during 23 to 31 October in order to devise a monitoring system for corporate policies.
The workshop, to be held at DM Training Centre at the Dubai Municipality Employees Club premises, will be conducted by the Corporate Planning Section in the Administrative Development and Quality Department and will be attended by 60 employees from different departments of the Municipality.
Hawa Bastaki, Director of Administrative Development and Quality Department said the workshop is aimed at providing an opportunity for the participants to get briefed about the corporate policies in order to create these policies in an electronic environment for all concerned categories.
She said the workshop will also guide the existing policies, which should be updated in order to accomplish the objectives of the Municipality.
Ahmed Habib, Head of the Corporate Planning Section, who is also the workshop lecturer, said the workshop is also aimed at preparing the select members from the Strategic Transformation team and training them on the tools used for formulating policies.
He said a circular will be issued on 30th October to all organizational units asking them to formulate and gather the corporate policies as per the defined tools.
As per the time schedule of the Corporate Policies Programme, all organizational units should formulate corporate policies during 1-29 November and these policies would be accepted from them during 1-5 December.
The policies received from the organizational units would be reviewed by the Administrative Development and Quality Department during 9-20 December. The approved policies would be posted on the Intranet during 23-31 December, which would be subjected to review every year on a continuous basis.
The policies would be first approved by organizational units and later by the concerned Assistant Director General who is overseeing the unit.
