A press conference was organised by MBB Expo Management in conjunction with the exhibition to promote the natural health, lifestyle and green expo in Bahrain among prospective exhibitors and members of the media.

Aimed at promoting well-being, holistic lifestyle practices and a sense of community around this lifestyle, Bahrain International Natural Health Products & Green Expo is scheduled to open in February 2009 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIEC).

The Mind, Body & Beyond Expo attracts exhibitors from the natural health, spa and natural living industries and companies that are making a difference in people's lives by developing environmentally safe products. Its mission is to promote awareness and respect for healthy and good living by becoming a nexus for industry professionals to generate maximum exposure, gain networking opportunities and increase revenue sources.

'I am very pleased to be in association with a big event organiser from a country - USA - with a considerable market for an industry with great potential to expand further and a promising future,' said Mr. Mohammed Fathalla, Acting CEO - Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority.

Ms. Stanford-Kristiansen emphasised the need for Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA) to focus on the international markets in order to automatically raise awareness and create an excellent reputation for Bahrain in terms of quality events, an objective always sought by the Bahrain Government and the Ministry of Industry & Commerce.

'Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions (MICE) Travel and Tourism means additional jobs and great impact on the economy. It is envisaged to become a worldwide community of a quarter of a billion people working in the travel and tourism sector by the end of this decade, with the firm prospect of sustainable growth in the future. Bahrain International Natural Health Products & Green Expo is a goldmine of opportunities for American and other international exhibitors wishing to tap the rich markets of the Northern Gulf region including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait which are in close proximity to Bahrain. What differentiates Bahrain International Natural Health Products & Green Expo from other wellness exhibitions in the region is that it is the only exhibition that will encapsulate all aspects of health and wellness and address the key issues of environmental strategies. A conference will run alsongside the Expo with key speakers from around the globe,' explained Ms. Stanford-Kristiansen.

According to MBB Expo Management, the value of the event in Los Angeles to the local economy is more than $1.5m. The show drew the participation of more than 100 exhibitors and attracted over 12,000 visitors on the first day. Similar events are held in San Francisco and New York.
