Rabia Z accessorises with adidas Originals at DIFW SS08

Young designer Rabia Z, of Emirati and Afghani origin, mixed bags, hats and shoes from the leading sports brand with her own modest yet fashionable style to launch her debut collection and label in her own name.

Rabia Z and adidas collaborated exclusively for the 2nd edition of DIFW. The designer, who is now being noticed for her prêt-à-porter clothing, already has a following of modern Muslim and non-Muslim women from around the region and abroad.

Ellen Peacock, communication manager, adidas Emerging Markets, says: 'It was a pleasure to cooperate with such an exciting new local designer on an international platform like Dubai International Fashion Week. Her clothing and general fashion statement targets all women of the region in the same way as adidas. We endeavour to continue working with and supporting other designers on the rise from this part of the world.'

Rabia knew her luck wasn't far-fetched when she was announced as one of the winners of the Emerging Talent Hunt prior to the DIFW. Kithe Brewster, the affable creative director of this season's DIFW and an indomitable force of the judging panel, who were responsible for selecting the excited winner, also took Rabia through the final steps of styling and accessorising her collection.

Rabia's collection introduces a style that ranges from formal glamour to swanky high street wear and also introduces chic sports wear.

adidas Originals is available at the exclusive adidas Originals store located in the Waterfront Centre, Dubai Festival City.
