First phase of Dubai Government HR Diploma Programme launched

The Human Resources (HR) department of the Dubai Executive Council's (DEC) General Secretariat today launched the first phase of the HR Diploma Programme for HR professionals in the Dubai government at the e-TQM college.

More than 120 officers, including 30 HR managers, will benefit from the diploma programme, organised in association with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI), The 60-hour AHRI programme, spread over one year, will allow employees to acquire training, without adversely impacting their work.

The modules of the diploma programme have been developed by AHRI representatives working with the Dubai Executive Council's HR department.

The programme will cover all components of HR, including planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and linking strategic objectives, performance measurement, and ways to develop HR services. The programme will include case studies on HR laws in Dubai, as well as projects and research papers to suit the needs of individual departments.

The AHRI diploma is one of the most specialised programmes in human resources management worldwide. The institute is the only body authorised by the Australian Government to adopt programmes and certification for human resource management in Australian universities.
