'Those involved in the telecommunication and IT industry should take advantage of this final opportunity to check out the wide range of products and technologies on display at the exhibition,' said Melwin D'Cunha, project manager of the event, which is jointly organised by Omanexpo LLC and Trifoil Expo LLC.
The major exhibitors at Arab Telsat 2007 include Omantel, Oman Mobile, and Nawras, all of which are showcasing the various services they offer to individual and corporate subscribers. Other locally based participants include Al Khalili IT and Telecom, Assarain Telecommunications, Huawei Technologies, Hussam Technology Company, the Information Technology Authority (ITA), Mustafa Sultan Science and Industry, Mustafa Sultan Telecommunications, Oman Fiber Optic Co, Oman Solar Systems, and Silver Focus LLC.
Arab Telsat 2007 also features a good number of exhibitors from other countries including France, Germany, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, UK, USA, and the UAE. Among the international companies participating are 4N Telecommunication, 4RF Communications, Aqsacom SAS, Globecomm Systems, GroupSat FZCO, K2 International, Nergy Telecom, the Russian Satellite Communications Company, Siemon, Technosat Trading, Telephony Telecommunications, and TELES Communication Systems.
All these companies are showcasing a wide range of new products and technologies such next-generation networking systems, fixed-line and wireless communication technologies, network cabling products and solutions, satellite communication services, and solar equipment for the telecom and ICT industry. Also on display are fiber optic cables and accessories, value-added telecommunication services, security systems and solutions, and microwave radio systems.
Arab Telsat 2007 is mainly supported by Omantel and Oman Mobile as diamond sponsors and by Nawras and Huawei Technologies as gold sponsors. It is also officially supported by the Geneva-based International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the Information Technology Authority (ITA), the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), and Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM). Telecom and IT professionals only have until tomorrow to visit the Arab Telsat 2007 Exhibition, which was formally inaugurated yesterday and is being held at the Oman International Exhibition Center in Muscat.
