LGE received the awards for 'European HD Player 2007-2008', 'European Compact System 2007-2008', and 'European Personal Media Player 2007-2008' at an official ceremony to be held at IFA Berlin on September 1, 2007.
'We are delighted that we have once again been honored by such an outstanding organization and one with so much credibility in Europe and around the world,' said B.B. Hwang, President and CEO of LGE Digital Media Company,. 'LGE will continue to meet the needs of its sophisticated customers by creating products that are technologically advanced, and also designed to be emotionally appealing.'
All of LGE's products taking honors this year demonstrate the company's advanced technology, high end features and innovative designs. LGE has previously won awards from EISA, the largest editorial multimedia organization in Europe, for its ability to develop multimedia products that far surpass the competition in both technology and design.
In 2006, LGE also won three EISA Awards for its 42-inch Plasma TV, its flat wall-mounted projector and its RH200MHS digital video recorder. This year awards go to:
LGE Super Multi Blue Player (BH100): 'European HD Player 2007-2008', its Micro System (FA/FB 162): and its MP3 Player (FM 37):
LGE's Super Multi Blue Player (BH100) is known to be the world's first dual-format high-definition disc player that is capable of playing both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. The next-generation player is an ideal companion for LGE's expanded line-up of Full HD 1080p plasma and LCD HDTVs, delivering best video quality possible at the highest resolution available. The LGE BH100 is also capable of up-converting standard DVDs to 1080i resolution and of ensuring that consumers' existing and movie libraries will not be obsolete.
Micro System (FA/FB 162): 'European Compact System 2007-2008' on the other hand is designed with elegance in mind. Its high-gloss piano black finish and glowing red touch-sensitive controls conjure images of the company's ten-million-selling Chocolate Phone. The system features a multi-format CD (FA 162) or DVD (FB 162) player and a precise FM/AM RDS tuner. It also employs LGE's advanced XTS* technology, which dynamically controls frequency output to each individual speaker, to produce perfectly balanced sound. The 160 watt micro sound system incorporates LGE's XDSS** Plus, which creates magnificent and vivid sound by boosting up the frequency level. Its USB 2.0 high-speed port allows users to play MP3, WMA and JPEG files, stored on an external memory source, directly through the system.
Its Touch Screen MP3 Player (FM 37): 'European Personal Media Player 2007-2008' also received an award. LGE's first touch screen MP3 Player(FM 37), dubbed Touch Me technology, eliminates the need for cumbersome button-based navigation, allowing users to breeze through menus by dragging, tapping and scrolling on the brilliant 2.4-inch TFT LCD display. Crafted of aluminum and measuring just 51.5 mm wide, 90mm long, and 9.9mm think, the LG FM37 has a sleek and minimal look. This high-tech device supports MPEG4 video playback as well as popular audio file formats including MP3, WMA, OGG and ASF.
Equipped with two or four gigabytes of flash memory, the LG FM37 is capable of playing three hours of video or twenty hours of audio between charges. This digital audio player also includes an FM radios, voice recorder and ultra-high speed file transfer capability via USB 2.0 and all three products were awarded for the high technological attributes they hold.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Kevin Cha, the General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch said, 'We are proud to see LGE's products receive international recognition. Such an achievement goes to show the high level of confidence our clients have in our product range and we on our part constantly work to combine the attributes of durability, convenience and technological advancement in all the products we release to the market.
We hope to see these products receive the same level of recognition in Jordan as we constantly strive to introduce members of the Jordanian community to all what is new and innovative from LGE and on this occasion we invite all eager buyers to visit our showrooms across the Kingdom where they will be met with phenomenal pre and after sales services. Once again we are proud of all what LGE had achieved and we look forward to seeing more notable achievements like this one in the future.'
