  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, October 30 - 2007 at 15:32

The Roads and Transport Authority is considering four future railway projects in Dubai, it has said. Speaking today at the MEED Middle East Rail Project 2007 conference, Abdulredha Abu Al-Hassan, director of planning at the RTA said a purple line was being considered, which would operate an express service between Duabi Airport and Jebel Ali Airport, which is due for completion in 2010. A blue line will operate in addition to the red and green lines that are currently being built.

There will also be a fourth tram that provides three integrated stations with the red and green lines, in addition to extensions to the latter two lines.
