A member of the Emirates Children's Symphony Orchestra, Campbell donated his time and extraordinary talents to the community, with crowds placing money in his violin case to contribute to the Dubai Cares campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sandy Mercer, Head of Marketing, Nakheel Retail says, 'Campbell is a great example of how the Dubai community, young or old, can contribute to the Dubai Cares initiative. Ibn Battuta Mall is very proud to support Campbell in his fantastic efforts to raise donations for less fortunate children from around the world.'

Campbell, an attendee at Jumeirah College, moved to Dubai from Sydney twelve months ago where he was a member of the esteemed Sydney Youth Orchestra.

The motivated advocate for charity work raised thousands of dollars for an African children's charity while living in Australia, as well as playing his violin in hospital wards for the enjoyment of ill patients.

Dubai Cares' is the latest in a line of international initiatives that express Dubai's willingness to play an effective role in securing a better tomorrow for future generations. The campaign is Dubai's contribution to a global drive to help countries achieve their U.N. Millennium Development Goals of providing primary education to every child by 2015.

The spacious Mall, covering an area of 1.2m square feet, offers a charming mix of shopping outlets, specialty shops, restaurants, a hypermarket and a cinema Megaplex featuring the UAE's first IMAX theatre.
