Burgan Bank reiterates association with Kuwait Disabled Sports Club of National Handicapped day

Determined to integrate those with special needs into the community mainstream, Burgan Bank recently reiterated its support towards the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped ahead of the forthcoming National Handicapped day includes many activities starting from November 5 to November 15th 2007.
"Empowering the handicapped has been an integral part of our Corporate Citizenship program", says Burgan Bank Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Lyon, commending the Society on its ndeavours for the disabled. "We are proud to be a benefactor towards the Society's welfare fund for the third year in a row, which will be instrumental in supporting the various activities and events of the National Handicapped day."
Restoring to the disabled a sense of belonging and involvement has been high on the Bank's Corporate Citizenship agenda. To this effect, it conceptualized and has held the 'Al Mass Annual Awards for People with Special Needs' for the past five years where outstanding achievements of those challenged by physical, mental and sensory disabilities are acknowledged and encouraged in the wider community.
"We continually seek opportunities to encourage and support the aspirations and needs of the disadvantaged", added Jonathan Lyon, stressing that such activities would feature in the Bank's comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility Program for 2008.
