World Freight Alliance annual meeting: Emerging markets offer greatest growth potential

Senior freight executives agreed that developing markets including China, India, Brazil, and Russia, which account for 43% of total world exports today, represent the future growth of the freight industry.

The Aramex-hosted World Freight Alliance meeting 27 and 28 October highlighted the need for collaboration in order to optimize the network and compete effectively in an evolving industry.

Keynote speakers including Fadi Ghandour, CEO of Aramex; Michael Proffitt, CEO of Dubai Logistics City; and Peter Sedgley, Senior Vice-President Commercial Operations, Emirates Airline, captivated the audience with their valuable industry forecasts.

The speakers outlined how Dubai is moving towards sustainable growth through diversification and its bid to create an integrated logistics platform to establish the Emirate as the leading hub for the region.
