Zebra Printer Replacement Programme back by popular demand

  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, October 31 - 2007 at 11:49
  • PRESS RELEASE

Following the success of Zebra Technologies' Printer Replacement Programme in 2006 and early 2007, the leader in on-demand printing solutions has re-launched the scheme.

It will now continue for six months, ending March 21, 2008. The programme will now also include the widely used mid-range products, such as the 105SL series and the newly launched ZM 400 and 600 plus the S4M. All of which are ideally positioned to replace Zebra's aging Stripe series.

The programme offers customers the opportunity to upgrade old Zebra printers with the latest versions at specially discounted prices. During the first quarter of 2007, upgrades through the Printer Replacement Programme were equivalent to one in every eleven printers sold. Customers in Italy were particularly keen to take the opportunity to upgrade outdated thermal printers to the latest models at a reduced price, with 22% of all printers sold as replacements through the programme.

"This programme generates a means to increase business right across the region and as such is a great opportunity to energise the market," said Paul Garner-Evans, Regional Sales Manager Middle East. "It gives us a good reason to call our customers and ultimately creates extra demand. The big difference this time is that the mid-range products are also included, giving the us even more sales opportunities."

Zebra sales director Ashley Ford added:

"The success of the Printer Replacement Programme at the beginning of this year highlighted a huge demand for the latest Zebra printing and labelling solutions. The scheme remains as user-friendly as possible, equipping partners with all the information, sales and technical support they need to see an increase in sales very quickly."

Replacing older Zebra printers with brand new models offers all the benefits associated with printer upgrades, including faster processing speed and Unicode language support as well as better environmental credentials. The printers also have improved connectivity and can now be configured with Ethernet, USB and wireless connectivity, a feature not previously available on the models due for replacement.
