The conference explored several timely and pertinent topics, including strategies in unifying arbitration systems and authorities, the development of arbitration decision execution mechanisms, modern alternatives in arbitration settlements and implementation and obstacles of engineering arbitration.

A series of three workshops was also featured, designed to educate management personnel with regard to drafting arbitration agreements, running arbitration sessions, regular arbitration procedures and ruling verdicts and writing experience reports in arbitration cases.

Organised sessions were held in tandem with the workshops, to discuss thematic issues such as the future role of arbitration in Saudi Arabia and arbitration and Islamic Law.

Representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Grievances, the Saudi arbitration team, the Saudi Council of Commerce Chambers and the GCC commercial Arbitration Center participated in the discussions.

Organisers of the conference presented a special appreciation plaque to Adnan Al-Mansour, Zamil Steel President, in recognition of the Zamil Steel efforts to promote and support scientific research and vocational activities.
