• Only conference and exhibition offering opportunity to discover the huge requirements for participation in Saudi Mega projects and how international and Saudi companies can deliver services and expertise
• Opportunity to meet with key government and industry decision-makers under one roof
• One-stop shop providing full details of all major Saudi project opportunities by sector
The original dates of Sunday 17th to Monday 19th November 2007 has been changed in order to maximise senior government and industry involvement at the Forum and avoid a time conflict with the upcoming OPEC Heads of State Summit.
The Forum is a unique event which enjoys the full support of the Saudi government and has been designed to ease the path of interested parties who wish to participate in the projects required in the Kingdom. It also has the full support of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and the Saudi Arabian Communications & Information Technology Commission (CITC).
Saudi Arabia has earmarked several mega-projects for investment through 2020 that together are worth a total of US$690 billion. These projects cover many sectors of the economy - from oil, gas and petrochemicals through to telecommunications. This event will enable international companies in the various sectors to showcase their services, expertise and knowledge that are relevant to the Saudi investment projects.
As well as a conference with over 40 top-level speakers providing a platform for discussion on the Kingdom's industrial development requirements, the two-day event includes an international exhibition.
The conference, which builds on the success of previous events - Saudi Mega Projects 2005 and Saudi Energy Forum 2006 -, has been divided into several sessions over the two days covering the different sectors that Saudi companies are currently investing in:
• construction, infrastructure and transport;
• finance;
• oil, gas and petrochemicals;
• real estate;
• technology;
• telecoms;
• tourism
Important networking events have also been organised throughout the two-day event which will be inaugurated by H.R.H Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province and Abdulrahman Al-Rashid, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Eastern Province.
