Hilton eyes budget hotels

Hilton Hotels is planning to move into the budget hotel sector in Dubai in the next few years with two of its economy brands, Doubletree and the Hilton Garden Inn, set to be introduced, reported Emirates Today. Essam Abouda, Hilton's VP for the Arabian Peninsula, said the firm also intended to double its current portfolio of 43 hotels in the Middle East and Africa region by the end of 2012.
