Created especially for BAE's presence at the airshow, the stand will feature an upgraded Hawk Jet Trainer experience and a Typhoon simulator, under the theme of "Real Partnership, Real Advantage". Further reflecting BAE's dedication to innovation and technology, for the first time at the airshow a 13 metre by 2.5 metre LCD screen will provide a dramatic visual backdrop on the BAE stand. This state-of-the-art screen is large enough to be seen from 10 kilometres away and will portray dynamic video footage of BAE Systems' capabilities.

The upgraded Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) experience demonstrates the latest version of the world's most successful advanced jet trainer, with over 900 aircraft in operation or on order with 19 countries worldwide. At the centre of an integrated training system, the Hawk AJT features the very latest in advanced simulation for radar, weapons and defensive aids training and is producing highly trained pilots that will go on to fly the Typhoon, F-16, F-25 and SU-30.
"The new Hawk AJT is the latest version of the world's most successful advanced jet trainer, in service with 19 airforces across the world. Hawk is well-positioned in competitions across the world to meet new jet training aircraft requirements," Keith stated.
The Typhoon simulator, the centre piece of the BAE Systems stand, gives visitors the opportunity to experience the capabilities of the Typhoon - the latest generation of frontline jet aircraft. The swing role Typhoon is in service with five nations and in September 2007 the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom agreed the purchase of 72 Typhoon for the Royal Saudi Air Force.
The third major attraction on the BAE Systems stand concentrates on unmanned air vehicle and autonomous technologies as demonstrated by the Herti unmanned vehicle that makes its debut in the Middle East.
"BAE Systems has had a permanent presence in the Middle East for the past 30 years, and the UAE is an important partner for us in the region," continued Keith.
"Highlighting the significance of this partnership, we recently expanded our presence in Abu Dhabi with new office space and increased our in-country based staff. This was in line with our strategy to assist the Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) in supporting the existing Hawk fleet and to form long-term sustainable partnerships."
The Red Arrows will be performing a breathtaking display with their nine BAE Systems Hawk aircraft during the Dubai Airshow 2007, and will also be touring the Middle East with free-to-watch displays in Qatar, Oman and Abu Dhabi throughout November and December.
"The Hawk and The Red Arrows are inextricably linked and synonymous with excellence, and we are proud to be supporting their tour of the Middle East," added Keith.
