RTA appoints a number of competent nationals in key posts

This step comes in continuation to a series of actions taken by the RTA to allow young competent nationals to assume important positions, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in addition to attracting distinct cadres and expertise contribute to the achievement the ambitious vision and strategic objectives of the RTA, which can be summarized to provide "Safe and Smooth Transport for all."

The decisions included the appointment of Abdullah Yousef Al Ali as the Director of Public Buses Department in the Public Transport Agency. He holds a Master's Degree in the Science and Engineering of Materials majored in the Roads Materials from the Emirates University in 2001; in addition to obtaining a Bachelor's Degree from the Emirates University in the Roads and Public Engineering in 1998. Prior to joining the RTA, he has occupied a number of positions including Engineer of Roads Design, Implementation and Maintenance at the Public Works Department in Abu Dhabi, Manager of Roads and Bridges Section at the Al Ain Works Office. Al Ali enjoys good of scientific and administrative capabilities in a variety of areas including public relations, effective communication, management skills for engineers, quality and internal auditing, leadership, corporate development and many other specialized skills, in addition to his participations in a number of local and international conferences.

Majed Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi was also appointed in the post of Manager of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental at the Marine. He holds a Master's Degree in Quality Management from the Australian University of Wollongong, Dubai Campus in the year of 2007 and Bachelor of Constructional Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach of the United States in year 2001. Al Shamsi has filled several positions before joining the RTA, including a Project Engineer in the Emirates Fuel Stations Company "Emarat. Al Shamsi enjoys a number of skills and technical capabilities, including contractual procedures management, technical reports writing, in addition to performance management, leadership, strategic planning and others.

The resolutions also included the appointment of Abdul Hakim Thani as an Expert in the Planning and Business Development Department of Public Transport Agency. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in the Public Administration from Point Park College, Pennsylvania of the United States in the year 1980, in addition to intensive training courses in several areas including personnel administration, industrial psychology, human relations, labor law, communication skills, accounting, human resources, strategic planning and others.

Thani has taken a number of positions before joining the RTA including Emiratization Manager at Al Futtaim, Manager of Administrative Systems at the Health and Medical Services Department, Manager of Continuing Education at the same Department, Manager of Quality Assurance at the Tourism and Commerce Marketing Department, Manager of Human Resources at the same Department, Manager of Human Resources at the University of Ajman, Administrative and Personnel Manager at the Marbella Group of Companies in Abu Dhabi and a number of other positions in the ministries and government departments, and big companies in the UAE. He enjoys many potentials and technical skills in his work domain, in addition to his distinct administrative capabilities.

Among other competent nationals included by the decisions was the appointment of Miss Masuma Mal Allah Jassim Mohammed in the position of Payroll and Staff Relations manager at the Human Resources and Development Department. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies from the Emirates University in Al Ain in the year 1996.

Prior to joining the RTA, Miss Masuma has occupied the post of Chief Manager, Human Resources at Habib Bank AG Zurich in Dubai. She enjoys managerial and leading skills that elevated he to mark number of achievements, including 8 years consistent compliance with the Emiratization rules in the bank that led to accomplish more than 40% of Emiratization Habib Bank AG Zurich, which is the highest Emiratization rate in a foreign bank in the UAE.
