The 9th Middle East International Motor Show 2007 set to take pole position from the 14-18 November

The 2007 edition of the Middle East International Motor Show, the largest, most popular and prestigious motor show in the Middle East, is all set to send pulses racing over the five days of the event, beginning on the 14-18 November 2007.

Popularly known as the Dubai Motor Show, this event will once again reaffirm its leadership pole position in the motor show circuit as the largest event in the Middle East. The Dubai Motor Show will occupy 50,000 m2 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosting 650 companies from 28 countries, with over 22% new exhibitors and expecting 90,000 motor enthusiasts over the 5 days of the event.

Visitors to the Middle East International Motor Show will witness a host of world premieres and latest launches by world leading brands like Daimler Chrysler, Bentley, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Toyota and many more.

said Mr. Helal Al Marri, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre.

This year's event will also feature some spectacular highlights. For the first time, visitors can get a glimpse of the record-breaking Shelby Aero, which recently screamed into the Guinness Book of World RecordsTM as the fastest production car in the world. There is the James Bond Aston Martin DBS, as seen in the Casino Royale film in 2006, and a unique display of cars from the private collection of H.E. Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, including the black 1978 Rolls Royce, which was used by HH The Queen of England, Elizabeth II during her last visit to the UAE.

Visitors will also be treated to a spectacular live on-stage car conversion by West Coast Customs for the first time in the Middle East. They will also see the UAE's first solar-powered car built by UAE national Saqr Bin Saif. There will also the Porsche Kids Driving School, plus exciting features, ensuring that the show will be a fun destination and an experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Like in the past, the Motor Show will also host two associated events, Motor Parts & Accessories and Motor Plus to cover the entire automotive industry. This automotive sector is one of Dubai's top ten re-exports and the Dubai Motor Show has always played a leading role in the promotion of these ancillary sectors. Focused, market-specific events like Motor Parts & Accessories & Motor Plus will give traders, retailers and dealers from across the region a unique platform to learn more from each other and meet a focused target audience.
