The forum will focus on what the Young Arab Leaders are doing to overcome global challenges such as the environment, lessons learnt and best practices in leading efforts in education, leadership development and entrepreneurship and innovation and its direct and indirect impact on the future of businesses. A list of recommendations and working mechanisms to help the organisation cope with future challenges will be proposed.
The keynote speech will be delivered by HH Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force of the Kingdom of Bahrain followed by an address by H.E. Mohamed Bin Ali Al Abbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties.
Saeed Al Muntafiq, Chairman of the Board of YAL and Executive Chairman of Tatweer, said:
'The forum will revitalise all collaborative efforts on important initiatives, and will review the activities of the organisation over the past two years to set the new priorities of the Young Arab Leaders for a successful future.'
A panel discussion on the emergence of best practices from a regional perspective will set the stage for an open discussion on the development needs of the Arab World.
Al Arabiya Channel - the official Arab Media sponsor for the YAL annual forum 2007 - will broadcast live the session titled 'Hiwar Al Arab' worldwide, which will discuss the importance of change through innovation.
HE Shaikh Mohamed Bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of YAL Bahrain Chapter and Chairman of the third YAL forum said: 'The Bahrain Chapter is proud and pleased to host the Annual Forum 2007 and we will ensure this year's forum serves as a platform to strengthen relationships among the YAL members as well as share ideas, best practices and strategies to ensure the ongoing growth of the organization.'
Dr. Ruediger Grube, Board Member of Daimler AG, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS N.V.), will address a special session on the power of cross cultural dialogue amongst the youth.
