IBM to gather senior executives at annual CIO conference in Dubai

IBM Middle East is to hold its annual CIO conference for the 3rd consecutive year in Dubai and will be highlighting its latest key strategies while addressing critical issues facing CIOs today.

The IBM Middle East CIO Conference will be keynoted by Executive Vice President Nick Donofrio, who heads up IBM's highly successful and world-leading innovation, research and development resources.

'The IBM Middle East CIO conference focuses on highlighting the latest strategies that will help businesses achieve sustainable competitive advantage through innovation,' Takreem El Tohamy, general manager IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan.

'CIOs play an important role in driving business model innovation with their end-to-end view of the business; we aim at sharing some of the world's leading edge expertise in the delivery of innovative business services with our customers in order to expand their impact as business leaders.'



The event is set to take place on the 11th of November at the Raffles Hotel and will gather leading CIOs and top executives from the region together with senior IBM executives visiting the Middle East. The one day conference will focus on the new roles of CIOs today which revolve around determining how to best leverage technology in support of corporate strategy and focusing on delivering business value.

CIOs play a central role in providing the vision and leadership to help the organization understand and assess potential areas of opportunity in which IT could enable transformation, provide a competitive advantage and contribute to business growth. Keynote Nick Donofrio is to be joined by Delia Meth-Cohn, Associate Director, The Economist Intelligence Unit, and other high profile IBM executives speakers who will share their visions and insights.
