"This is a very exciting motor show for us, packed with new cars, new concepts, new engine variants and cutting edge innovations," said Phil Horton, Managing Director BMW Group Middle East.
"BMW is continuing its all-round product offensive with the same power and momentum as ever before. We never stop finding new ideas to enhance individual mobility in the premium segment and we will continue to innovate time and time again."
"We are proud to present the Concept X6, the new M3 Coupé and the new MINI Clubman as truly outstanding examples of BMW Group's vision."
The BMW Concept X6 is the world's first Sports Activity Coupé. In presenting the Concept X6, BMW proudly demonstrates the vision of a unique vehicle developing the striking design language of BMW X cars, with a clear and consistent focus on sportiness and elegant presence mated to outstanding dynamic performance.
The new BMW M3 Coupé, engineered on the racetrack and built for the road, is an exceptional car of the most thrilling kind; it is the fourth edition of BMW's high-performance sports car based on the 3 Series Coupé.
"The M3 Coupé opens up a new chapter in the development of power units for BMW, for the first time boasting a V8 power unit for supreme performance, this outstanding car accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed limited electronically to 250 km/h." stated Horton.
The MINI Clubman offers 21st Century state-of-art technologies in all its details and features and its unique, highly distinctive proportions are a clear sign of its individual character.
"With the MINI Clubman we are expanding the MINI family further," continued Horton,
"Through its truly surprising design, it stands out clearly from conventional concepts and categories. The MINI Clubman combines the go-kart driving experience typical of the brand with extroverted design, a high level of personalisation and enhanced functions."
A further important point is that the MINI Clubman is entering the market as a five-seater, the passengers at the rear enjoying 80 millimetres more legroom than in the "regular" MINI. Access to the rear "lounge" is facilitated by an addi¬tional 'Club door', hinged at the back on the right-hand side of the car.
"By consistently introducing new engines, together with a broad range of innova¬tions for enhanced efficiency, BMW is able to offer vehicles in a growing number of segments ranking right at the top in terms of driving dynamics, innovation and design.
"Further to the information we have provided today, we will also be revealing more surprises on our stand during the official motor show press day on the 13th of November - watch this space," concluded Horton.
