In addition to KSA, the UAE (1st) and Kuwait (3rd) are the countries in the Middle East with the most origin of attacks and the highest propensity to being targeted by information hackers.

PRO TECHnology, a leading provider of communication, security and storage solutions, has announced its participation as one of the sponsors of the Symantec Vision Riyadh 2007, in a bid to promote its range of security solutions in the KSA and leverage the rapidly expanding network attached storage (NAS) market, which is set to soar by 40% by 2008.

Symantec Vision Riyadh 2007 will be held at Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 12, 2007, and will highlight the alarmingly increasing rate of internet security threats in the Kingdom, which largely undermine the safety of confidential corporate information. In addition, research has also shown that the rapid innovation of new broadband technologies has led to an increase in data theft incidences and the creation of malicious codes to steal confidential information.

Abdullah Almutrif, Managing Partner, PRO TECHnology - KSA branch, said,

"The ever-increasing data security issues, in addition to the projected growth of the network attached storage market, has presented us with both great challenges and opportunities to improve our integrated solutions. Our goal of tapping into the booming KSA market mobilises our efforts to strengthen our standing as a top security solutions provider amidst growing demand, by heavily investing in our own internal resources and nurturing new long term business relationships with clients. We are positive that our solid reputation for delivering high quality support systems, which has earned the confidence of our customers, will speak of our capability to ensure the safety and protection of their data."

Symantec Vision Riyadh 2007 is expected to draw nearly 400 IT professionals to the venue, which will include the best among the decision-makers and influencers in the IT industry. The show will bring buyers and resellers together under the same roof, enabling PRO TECHnology and other sponsors to showcase their products and services to key customers from a variety of industries.

The event has been designed to offer customers everything they need in order to master the complexity in their data centres, effectively manage IT risks, and provide more security for their organisations by facilitating discussion of trends, sharing of ideas, and learning from among the attendees' valuable experiences.

"We consider Symantec Vision Riyadh 2007as an excellent opportunity for us to expose our customer to all of the best technologies and solutions Symantec has to offer. We are very proud to be one of the main sponsors of such a prestigious event, which provides a unique opportunity to showcase the latest products and solutions in the industry," added Jamal H. Maraqa, Managing Director, PRO TECHnology.

PRO TECHnology and Symantec have maintained a strong business relationship for eight years, with Symantec granting 'Platinum Partner' status to PRO TECHnology for delivering the highest value to customers, demonstrating expertise in multiple Symantec solution sets and attaining revenue targets.
