UAE hopes for GCC-EU FTA

Ewa Bjorling, Sweden's Minister of Trade, has revealed that the UAE is still keen on cementing a free trade agreement (FTA) between the GCC and the EU, reported Gulf News. Negotiations first commenced 16 years ago, making it the longest-drawn out trade deal ever recorded. It had been hoped the agreement could have been sealed early this year but several sticking points remain.
