DED, DM honoured for participation in the success of Ramadan campaign for orphans

Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation honoured the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) and Dubai Municipality (DM) for their contribution in the success of 'Together in the month of giving' campaign launched by the Foundation during last Ramadan for the orphans.

The DED team led by Mr. Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs, and DM team were actively involved in the project.

"Our contribution in the campaign comes as part of DED's corporate social responsibility programme. We believe in building stronger community relations through the involvement in activities that benefit the society," said Ali Ibrahim.

"I also take this opportunity to thank all the members of Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation and employees of the Dubai Department of Economic Development and Dubai Municipality for their involvement in the success of this noble initiative," add Ali Ibrahim.

Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation presented certificates of appreciations to the DED employees and Dubai Municipality staff members who participated in the campaign. The Foundation's management hopes to continue its co-operation with the department in the future and that other establishments will follow DED's model in supporting other humanitarian issues.

About Department of Economic Development (DED):

The Department of Economic Development (DED) was established in March 1992, with the objective to organise, regulate and boost trade and industry within the Emirate of Dubai. The DED has moulded its mission of building a futuristic establishment, in accordance with the vision of the Government of Dubai and in the light of globalisation and the requirements of a digital economy.
