This puts year-to-date deliveries for Mercedes-Benz Cars in the Middle East and Levant on track for another record year.

Sales for the month of October were boosted by high consumer demand for the all-new 2008 C-Class. Behind the C-Class, the E-Class range proved popular while sales of the region's largest range of luxury SUVs - M-Class, R-Class, GL-Class and G-Class - were positive.

"There is growing demand for the new C-Class which is proving highly popular with our customers who like the option of a traditional or a sporty face," said Johannes Fritz, Director, Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Middle East and Levant.

"Our S-Class is still the region's favourite luxury sedan while new vehicles to be revealed at the Middle East International Motor Show in Dubai on November 13, will help us meet our targets with deliveries well ahead of our closest competition."
