The Dhs100m manufacturing unit has been set up by a leading name in this sector, Wild Flavors Middle East.

The inauguration was attended by Mrs. Salma Hareb, CEO Jafza and Economic Zones World, and other senior officials of Jafza and Economic Zones World.

During the inauguration ceremony, attended by Dr. Hans-Peter Wild, Owner and Chairman of Wild Flavors Middle East, Mr. Bin Sulayem said:

'We congratulate Wild Flavours Middle East for opting to locate their state-of-the-art plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone, which is home to 6,000 companies, many of them global brands. Manufacturing natural flavours is a new industry in this part of the world, and this facility will further enhance Jafza's role in empowering business in Dubai. We assure you of our full support in this endeavour.'

Mrs. Salma Hareb said,

'No place in the region other than Dubai provides such a wide vista of flavours - a meeting point of perhaps all the flavours in the world. It is hardly necessary to point out the significance of this market, which is obviously most exciting as well as very challenging. I would like to congratulate Wild Flavors for making the right move at the right time and setting up its base in Jafza. Welcome to your new home.'

The plant is spread over an area 20,000 square meters, and includes manufacturing and warehousing, and office space. The plant has a capacity of 75,000 tons and will service the markets of the GCC, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, the Levant, North Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

Wild Flavors' product range of natural ingredients includes flavour systems, flavours and extracts, fruit and vegetable preparations. The company also produces colours, concentrates, sweetening systems and speciality ingredients such as functional flavours and flavour keys.
