Tawam Hospital launches Contractor Excellence Award scheme

In addition to the Contractor Excellence Award scheme, Tawam Hospital announced the launch of an innovative Contractors Partnership Program for strategic suppliers, contractors and other healthcare facilities that Tawam Hospital deals with. The launch of the program and the award scheme took place during the First Contractor Partnership Forum that was held at the Mercure Grand Hotel, Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain.

Brian de Francesca, Chief Operating Officer, Tawam Hospital, said, "Our aim is to engage in longer term mutually beneficial relationships with a fewer number of high quality suppliers and partners. This will be critical for our long term success as it will help us achieve better return on investment, and contribute to reduced costs, increased productivity and delivery of improved quality of healthcare services to our patients."

"The introduction of the Tawam Contractor Excellence Award scheme on the other hand will recognise outstanding service and product contractors, and will be a key vehicle for communicating the standards that Tawam expects from its suppliers," he added.

The Contractor Partnership Forum provided an opportunity for Tawam Hospital officials to interface with the participating suppliers to share information on best practices in supply chain management and organisational excellence.
