Emirates, Rolls-Royce $8.4bn deal

Rolls-Royce has revealed that Emirates has made an order of Trent XWB engines which could ultimately be worth up to $8.4bn. The Dubai based carrier has ordered the engines to power its newly unveiled order of 70 Airbus A350-XWB aircraft, with 50 more planes on option. The Rolls-Royce Trent XWB is currently the only engine available for the A350-XWB model.
