Dubai's glitterati crowd was feted to an evening of Italian design excellence as the latest collection of Pasquale Bruni was presented along with the 2008 Spring/Summer Collection of celebrated fashion brand Missoni. No less than Pasquale Bruni himself and Massimo Gasparini, CEO of Missoni, graced the occasion.

Tamjid Abdullah, Deputy Managing Director of Damas, the leading international jewellery retailer and exclusive partner of Paquale Bruni in the region, remarked, "This is a very special evening for Damas as we celebrate our long and fruitful collaboration with a highly respected name in the jewellery world. We are truly proud and honoured to have been chosen by Mr. Bruni as his exclusive partner in the region and it is with utmost joy that we bring to you the memorable creations of this important jeweller."

Speaking on the launch of his first boutique in the region, Bruni enthused, "It is with great pride that we bring to you the major collections of Pasquale Bruni in one location. Through the years, we have seen the continued success of our brand in the region and we believe it is only fitting that we open our fourth mono-brand boutique here, following Milan, Tokyo and Paris. Our Middle East clientele never cease to inspire and challenge us to create jewellery that complements their innate beauty and elegance."

Conveniently located at the posh New Extension of Wafi City, the well-appointed boutique displays the creative concept developed by David Chipperfield Architects which uses Pasquale Bruni's signature colours to interpret exhibition space in a modern and unusual way. Vast coloured glass screens and the absence of internal walls give the boutique a refined, contemporary feel, similar to the ambience of the showroom in Via Manzoni, Milan.

Pasquale Bruni Boutique - Dubai is a treasure trove of exquisitely-crafted jewels that meticulously combine gold, precious stones and diamonds to evoke a range of sentiments. The iconic symbols of the heart, flower, moon, star and other nature-inspired forms, have characterised the distinctive, unusual yet harmonious style of the exclusive collections.

Pasquale Bruni's aesthetic choices come from his passion for jewellery, which he imbues with all the power of body and soul, moulding gold and precious stones into outstanding pieces with an unmistakable design sensibility. His original collections display modernity, elegance and discretion.

Established in 1997, the house of Pasquale Bruni is one of the premier Italian jewellery firms that boast a unique artisan tradition. Starting from Valenza, the international centre for fine craft jewellery, the company distributes its collections throughout Italy and the world.

In 2001, Pasquale Bruni's daughter, Eugenia Bruni joined the company as its Creative Director and through continuous creative interchange between father and daughter, many successful collections have been conceived, such as Amore, Ghirlanda and Segreti, by now all internationally recognized.

The Pasquale Bruni brand, which is set apart by its continuous innovation in forms and materials, is positioned at the high end of the exclusive jewellery market and has been known to dictate new design directions while balancing a unique creative style that follows the pace of fashion. The company's international success is a testament to the creative instinct of its master craftsman, who, while preserving the original imprint of his art, has the ability to anticipate future trends, adapting to the needs of its highly selective clientele worldwide.
