As the project on 'Al Qasba Tornado', the largest creative fountain in the region is well underway, QAQ authorities promise a fantastic end creation that will spellbind the public.

"Qanat Al Qasba has recently gone through a series of landscape modifications in order to give the destination a new look while holding fast to its original Arabian values, and the Al Qasba Tornado Fountain is part of that facelift. Water is a wonderful natural plaything and with today's technology can be used in amazing ways. The Al Qasba Tornado Fountain will mark this special destination with its amazing play of waterworks where water jets will leap up and dance in time to a fantastic and majestic symphony and light effects. Children will love it, adults will be fascinated by it, and the views of the fountain from both ground level as well as the bird's eye view from the Eye of the Emirates will be breathtaking," said Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of the Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority.

"A group of hydraulic and computer engineers will design and create the right equipment for the site, and all equipment has been manufactured especially for this project," he added.

"The Tornado Fountain", which is being built next to the Eye of the Emirates, the highest observatory wheel in the region, is part of Qanat Al Qasba's development plans for this popular tourist and family destination of the region. Constructed by an international French company renowned for building spectacular creative fountains around the world, the company has also installed several creative fountains in many different parts of the world and in well-known attractions such as Eurpa Park in Germany, Disneyland in Japan, and many others. Each fountain has its own identity and its unique features.

The waterfront attraction will constantly move and change providing the visitors with a delightful array of spectacular day and night shows. Each of these water shows will be unique - tailor-made for a breathtaking spectacle combining water screens, water canons, pyrotechnics and laser.

Completely controlled via computer and programming system, each jet of the fountain will be controlled with a frequency converter and thus programmed individually. The Al Qasba Tornado will have 16 straight jets, 8 water arches, the central water canon, the pool and the grating, with the highest jet reaching up to 20 meters.
