Under the agreement, BT will operate Nuetel's infrastructure for the next three years and provide 24x7 technical support, monitoring and rollout of leading converged services. This agreement is part of a strategic relationship between Nuetel Communications and BT covering technical consultancy and services development, joint marketing and the resale of BT's worldwide services.

"Bahrain is an interesting market both in terms of its size but also in terms of its competitive situation, where Nuetel advanced communications solutions has an enormous potential. This agreement with BT provides us with the solid strategic alliance to reinforce our sustained growth strategy. BT offers the best technical and operational skills to ensure that the services provided to our customers are the best and most intuitive in the market," stated Jameel Al Matrook, MD of Ossis, the holding company of Nuetel Communications.

"The outsourcing agreement with BT is a perfect fit to address this market demand, with BT bringing its global capabilities and proven outsourcing track record, and Nuetel contributing an advanced infrastructure, extensive sales capabilities and focus on the Bahraini and Gulf markets. In addition, this agreement will extend Nuetel's portfolio of services significantly, allowing Nuetel to expand its services regionally and globally, leveraging the BT global infrastructure," commented Labib Matta, CEO of Nuetel Communications.

Karsten Lereuth, President Global Telecom Markets, BT Global Services said: "BT is glad to be able to support Nuetel“s growth strategy with this agreement. It is based on BT“s 21C Operator Services - a new range of innovative services and solutions designed to move communication providers around the world up to next-generation networks, and based on the unique platform of experience BT has built in developing its 21st Century Network."
