Al Jaber, Embraer $300m deal

Abu Dhabi's Al Jaber Group, which earlier this week launched an executive jet business, has signed a $300m deal to buy seven aircraft from Brazilian plane maker Embraer. Al Jaber will receive five Lineage 1000 and two Legacy 600 jets which will be used for on-demand chartering. Al Jaber has also placed options for two more Lineage 1000s and one more Legacy 600; the first delivery will take place in H1 2009.
