Dubai Knowledge Village event sheds light on work-life balance
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, November 13 - 2007 at 14:01
- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) organised a special interactive event recently to raise awareness on work-life balance issues in the UAE and to offer solutions on leading an optimal quality life.
According to experts, the right work-life balance in an employee can considerably benefit businesses. These benefits include increased productivity, improved recruitment and retention, lower rates of absenteeism, reduced overheads, an improved customer experience and a more motivated, satisfied and equitable workforce.
Hasan Makansi, Partner Development Manager, Dubai Knowledge Village, said: "Dubai Knowledge Village wanted to highlight challenges to work related issues, which can impede the performance and productivity of the workforce if not adequately addressed.
"As work related stress has been identified as a major health hazard, we joined forces with our business partners, who are experts in this field, to host this event, to raise awareness, identify challenges and provide solutions. The event also featured case studies of companies, vital business issues and steps taken to positively influence the corporate bottom line. The extremely positive turnout indicates a market need for these solutions."
Dubai Knowledge Village is the world's only free zone totally dedicated to professional training. It is home to over 400 professional training centres specialized in human resource development, human resource management, professional testing, management training and consultancy services.
As a free zone, Dubai Knowledge Village offers a number of benefits to its business partners including full foreign ownership, total exemption and 100% repatriation of profits.
