The training contract was signed today at the 10th Dubai Airshow by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group; HE Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of Empire Aviation Group and Emirates Investment Group; and Jeff Roberts, Group President, Innovation & Civil Training & Services, CAE.

Sheikh Ahmed said:

"Emirates-CAE Flight Training has built up a reputation in the past five years as a world-class training facility and it now plays a vital role within the aviation industry in the Middle East, Europe and West Asia. I am delighted to welcome Empire Aviation Group to Emirates-CAE Flight Training and I am confident that this partnership will be of mutual benefit."

Under the agreement, EAG's flight crew will start training immediately, using the Hawker 800/800XP full-flight simulator, in addition to participating in classroom-based training.

Sheikh Tariq said: "We have managed to convert EAG from a concept into one of the major players in the region's private aviation industry in record time. This level of growth and expansion reflects the solid foundations of our business and indicates the vastness of the market's untapped potential."

"We're extremely pleased that Empire Aviation Group has placed its trust in Emirates-CAE Flight Training for its pilot training," said Jeff Roberts. "We look forward to providing Empire Aviation Group with quality training solutions that meet and exceed their needs, and to developing our relationship with them."

Earlier this year, ECFT ordered a new CAE 5000 Series Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 800 XPi and a CAE 7000 Series Bombardier Global Express full-flight simulator, both of which will be installed and commissioned by the second half of 2009.

The simulators will feature the CAE TrueTM Electric Motion System, as well as CAE's next-generation visual solution, including the new CAE Tropos TM-6000 visual system and Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) projectors.

The CAE 5000 Series full-flight simulator for the Hawker 800 XPi will be the first 5000 Series simulator designed and manufactured for that aircraft type. CAE launched the 5000 Series earlier this year.
