ICT Minister opens Mitel centre in Yemen

Mitel, the trusted provider of IP communications solutions, today announced that it has completed the installation of a state-of-the-art training centre at the premises of the incumbent telecommunications operator PTC Yemen in the historical capital Sana'a, Republic of Yemen.

Right Mr. Kamal Hussein Al-Jebry, Minister of Telecommunication and ICT in Yemen at the Mitel inauguration.

The centre, donated by Mitel Networks, is to serve as a training facility for PTC's sales and engineering staff as it commences the distribution of Mitel's IP communications solutions to businesses of all sizes in Yemen.

The training centre was inaugurated by Mr. Kamal Hussein Al-Jebry, Minister of Telecommunication and ICT in Yemen, who highlighted the importance of introducing new technology to the various ministries across Yemen.

'The opening of the training centre is indicative of Mitel's confidence in PTC and is a great step towards introducing the latest Mitel IP solutions to serve the needs of businesses throughout Yemen,'

said the Minister. 'Mitel has been operating in Yemen for over 20 years and their generous contribution to this training center, which includes their latest solutions and technologies, cements our relationship with Mitel',

'It is only through the ongoing training and the introduction of new communications technologies that Mitel can serve the needs of such a valuable customer and important regional partner,' said Hisham Amili, Mitel GM, GCC. 'We are delighted to see the genuine appreciation to this contribution and the clear understanding of how IP communications can deliver true business benefits to a country like Yemen,'
