Dubai Real Estate Institute sponsors 'Leaders in Dubai' Business Forum

The Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the region's first academic establishment for real estate studies, today announced its supporting sponsorship of 'Leaders in Dubai', the largest business summit in the Middle East.
Dr. Mohamad Al Shehhi, Managing Director of DREI said: "Participation in this exclusive forum reflects our commitment to reinforce the importance of creating a regional real estate knowledge and skills pool at the highest level. Two Nobel Peace Prize winners, former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (2001) and Professor Mohammed Yunus (2006) are among the keynote speakers at the Leaders in Dubai forum. British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, as well as a number of leading regional and global business leaders will also lend their rich perspectives to the forum.
At the 'Leaders in Dubai' summit, DREI will exhibit and offer a special value package for applicants registering for its January 2008 Executive Education Programmes. In addition, the institute will showcase the various programmes it offers in partnership with leading universities, including Reading University in the UK, the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and Bond University's Mirvac School of Sustainable Development.
DREI is the first institute in the Middle East providing high quality programmes in real estate education, training and research. Its objective is to provide educational and professional development to support executives in the real estate sector and create the next generation of industry leaders.
The Leaders in Dubai forum will address globalization challenges, including the rise of China, the need for corporate diplomacy, accelerating regional diversification, the challenges of climate change, creating sustainable growth, education and the role of internet in business.
The forum will focus on how business leaders can strategically move forward, creating growth and value in both challenging and opportune times.

As the first specialised real estate academic institution in the region, the Dubai Real Estate Institute aims to enrich and broaden the knowledge and competency base of real estate industry professionals and managers. The institute, which will commence courses in the academic year 2007-2008, operates in partnership with several international real estate universities to provide high value learning experiences to its students.
Addressing strategic growth opportunities, competitive challenges and operational imperatives of the real estate industry in the MENA region, Asia, and Turkey, the institute will offer graduate programmes as well as professional development courses.
