Bahrain-US trade hits $1.1bn

Trade between Bahrain and the US hit $1.1bn in 2006, reported Bahrain Tribune. Dr Fakhro, the country's Minister of Industry and Commerce, said Bahrain-US free trade agreement has opened new vistas of co-operation in trade, commerce and investment sectors. He said the GCC countries could use Bahrain as a hub to reach the US market by availing the benefits of Bahrain-US FTA.
