The first ever Arabian Gulf Yachting Awards, organized by Boat Owner ME, was held on 10thNovember 2007 at the Mina A' Salam Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah. The event gathered Gulf-based Boat Builders, Charter Services and Clubs to help drive growth of regional yachting Industry.

Gulf Craft Inc, the Middle East's largest motorboat and yacht builder received an award for 'Best Local Boat Builder' at the Arabian Gulf Yachting Awards in the 'Best Power Yacht in the Middle East' category.
