Al-Sorayai Trading Industrial Group becomes paid up capital

Minister of Trade and Commerce, his highness Hashem Abdu Ymani, has issued an approval for Al-Sorayai Trading Industrial Group to switch to a paid up capital 'closed stock' company.
"Al-Sorayai Trading Industrial Group has a historical achievements accompanied by ISO 9001 which reflects the strength and the high standard quality our company has, in addition to the constant improvement and support provided to our company to achieve high international standards of carpet manufacturing." Chairman added.
Alsorayai Group is historically enjoys a great presence for over 55 years in the Saudi market, where its previously had incepted its activity under the name of Nasser & Abdullah Al Sorayai Company, in which the company was focusing on importing and selling carpets in the local market." He added, "While the founders had a wise vision to the future and based on relentless efforts managed to build the first Carpets Factory in 1985 enhanced with great support from the government of custodian of the two holy mosques that has and still contribute to boosting national industries and aims at positioning Saudi companies among global toppers on one hand and to meet the demand of its local market on the other hand."
And now Al-Sorayai group has occupied the third global rate in carpet production through Al Soriaya Commercial and Industrial Group that produces 40 million square meters annually. This achievement puts the Kingdom before the top global producers of carpets like USA and Belgium and exporting to 65 countries around the world boosts up confidence in our products.

About Al Sorayai FactoriesFirst: Al Sorayai Factory for Carpets
Through the support of the government of custodian of the two holy mosques represented in Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Chambers of Commerce Al Sorayai took the decision to establish its first Carpet Factory 1987 to replace products imported by the company's trading division with locally produced Carpets and Rugs. The main objective behind the factory's establishment was to provide more competitive and a vast range of locally produced carpets and rugs to fulfill regional requirements. The first Plant was then dedicated only to woven rugs and wall to wall carpets producing over 6 million square meters of different types and qualities all manufactured to the highest standard using Polypropylene, Nylon, Acrylic, Viscous, Cotton, and Wool blended yarns.
Second: Al Sorayai Factory for carpets (2)
Since inception the Company added other Factories undergoing yearly expansions in four different locations within the industrial city of Jeddah growing almost twenty times in production capacity to cope with increasing market demand, occupying an area close to 90,000 m2 for manufacturing alone.
At the second built manufacturing plant (Plant -2-) which was established in 1992 the Company focuses on machine made tufted wall to wall carpets, printed carpets, accent rugs, and hand tufted carpets using the best yarn systems available in the markets to produce various styles of local, and International quality carpets for the economic, medium and high end. Plant -2- supported by Plant -7- which is mainly a tufting operation, produce over 60 million square meters of printed carpets, Cut Pile, Cut Lop, Tip Shear, Graphics, artificial grass, runners, kids' rugs and handmade wool carpet pieces. These products use polypropylene, nylon, and polyester yarn as well as blended woolen yarns.
Third: Jeddah Industrial Yarn Factory (JIYFCO)
One of the main objectives the company considered for expansion was to increase its locally added value by producing its own Polypropylene and nylon yarn from granules obtained from Sabic which are considered the main raw material in this industry. Jeddah Industrial Yarn Factory (JIYFCO) was established in the year 1996 with the latest machinery and technology which allows the company to be more competitive and develop some independence vis-à-vis yarn supply to the Carpet Factories; JIYFCO products cover a wide collection of trendy colored Yarn besides plain white nylon for printed carpets and it exports surplus capacity to other Carpet manufacturers in the GCC and north Africa. The factory's annual capacity exceeds 13,000 tons of polypropylene yarn, over 12,000 tons of braided polypropylene yarn, and over 6000 tons of nylon yarn.
Alsorayai trading & industrial Group was established in the city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, around 1950s under the name of Abdullah & Nasser Alsorayai Co. the Group first started operating by importing handmade rugs, by 1985 the group initiated their own rugs factory where the company was able to produce and export their products. In 1992, Alsorayai established a new factory to produce high quality carpet with different unique colors and designs.
Alsorayai trading and industrial Group has also received an ISO certificate for its outstanding performance.
