Fog affects DIA traffic

A thick blanket of fog over Dubai yesterday, Saturday, brought serious disruption to Dubai International Airport (DIA), reported Gulf News. A total of 98 in-bound flights, a third of which were operated by local flag carrier Emirates, were diverted to the likes of Muscat, Bahrain, Doha, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Fujairah. A number of out-bound services were also delayed well into the evening.
