A state-of-the-art development and part of the gigantic Dubailand initiative, MotorCity is the latest addition to UP's prestigious projects, this sponsorship marks the third consecutive year that the development takes on the mantle of title sponsor for Dubai Autodrome's major racing events.
Simon E. Azzam, CEO of UP commented on the sponsorship: 'Dubai Autodrome is a vital component of MotorCity that leads the overall endeavour to promote motorsports in the UAE and across the region. Naturally, this close association results in MotorCity taking the important step of sponsoring an exciting event such as the Motorsports Festival 2007. We are pleased to have supported the racing initiatives in the past and are happy to once again play the role of title sponsor. We look forward to a tremendous response for this Motorsports event of the year.'
The three day programme of events at the Motorsports Festival 2007 will include the Dubai debut of the latest motorsport sensation, the Speedcar Series, which will feature star names such as Jean Alesi, Johnny Herbert, Narain Karthikeyan and Stefan Johansson, to name a few. In addition to the star studded agenda, the event will also host series of family oriented off-track events like kids activities that will include trampolines, jumping castles and face painting; car and motorcycle parades; an exhibition boulevard; Food Village; Motorsport Educational Village; Bridgestone F1 Experience and the Pit Stop Challenge.
Set to be a weekend festival and fun for the entire family, there will also be taverns featuring live music performances and action on the screens; the Red Bull Stunt Team with the Flugtag Display; parachute jumpers and fashion parades. Children under 16 will be entitled to free entry and should be accompanied by an adult.
Destined to become the hub of the region's automobile and motorsports industry, MotorCity will be a multi-faceted leisure destination that offers entertainment, dining, and recreation, as well as retail, residential and commercial environments. It is 'a city within a city' that includes five project components that represent brands that can be recreated worldwide: Dubai Autodrome that caters to motor sport and race enthusiasts; F1 Theme Park in Dubai, an edutainment destination that targets the entire family; Business Park MotorCity that is set to be the regional hub for the automobile industry and businesses; and two residential areas, UPTOWN MotorCity and Green Community MotorCity that offer home owners freehold properties ranging from studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments, townhouses, family villas, bungalows and luxury villas. Besides the already operational Dubai Autodrome; the F1 Theme Park in Dubai, Business Park MotorCity, UPTOWN MotorCity and Green Community MotorCity are scheduled for a 2009 completion.

MotorCity, the region's first fully integrated motorsport facility developed by Union Properties PJSC (UP) announced its title sponsorship for the Dubai Motorsports Festival 2007 scheduled to be held at the Dubai Autodrome, from the 15th to the 17th of November, 2007.
