Al-Markazia unveils all-new Lexus LS 460 and ES 350 2008 models in Jordan

Central Trade and Auto Co - Al-Markazia, exclusive dealer of the Lexus brand in the Kingdom, has unveiled the all-new 2008 Lexus LS 460 and 2008 Lexus ES 350 in Jordan during a press conference that hosted members of the media from various publications at the Dunes Club.
"Unveiling both cars is an important milestone for Al-Markazia as the LS 460 and ES 350 are simply extraordinary cars. We truly believe that both automobiles will witness high demand locally, solidifying the status of the Lexus brand in Jordan," said Mr. Nadim Haddad, Al-Markazia Marketing Manager.
"Lexus lives a story of great success globally and regionally. The luxurious vehicle carved out a unique place for itself in the Jordanian market since we have introduced it early this year. This success constantly motivates us to continue providing the best and most up to date quality services for our customers in the Kingdom," Haddad added.
The press conference included a brief on the marketing and sales strategy that Lexus undertakes globally that is also implemented locally, in addition to a comprehensive presentation on the LS 460 and ES 350; two renditions that belong to the ultimate luxury range from Lexus.
The development of the new LS 460 was based on a concept of 'Challenging Automotive Evolution', that is of creating entirely new premium automotive values that focus on dynamism, the fundamentals of engineering excellence, human-centered technology, and revolutionary manufacturing techniques.
"The LS 460's engine is the most technologically advanced engine ever developed by Lexus engineers, coupled with the most sophisticated automatic transmission ever. The ultra-advanced 4.6 litre (380HP) V8 engine combines deep reserves of effortless power with a smooth responsive drive, and excellent fuel economy. The engine features the world's first Dual VVT-iE variable valve timing system, which is quicker to respond, provides greater engine flexibility, reduced exhaust emissions, and improved fuel economy over a wider range of speeds. This powerful and quiet engine will effortlessly accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 5.4 seconds," said Engineer Wasfi Jadoun, Manager of Maintenance Center while delivering the presentation.
"To fully exploit this engine's performance potential, it is teamed with an all new transmission; the world's first 8-speed automatic transmission for even smoother acceleration and economy. This unique transmission performs seamless multiple and skip gear shifts, optimizing torque in all driving conditions, to provide the driver with unprecedented driving pleasure," Jadoun stressed.
The LS 460 is the only model in its series that has a luxurious rear-seat that offers a massage function, for the ultimate in relaxed motoring and ensuring that entering the LS 460 is the same as entering the opulent interior of a private jet where the driver and passengers always travel first class. In addition this luxurious car is equipped with infrared sensors that can detect body temperature of individual passengers and direct cool or warm air to those seats.
Moreover, the LS 460 also features a new, advanced Mark Levinson Reference Surround audio system with 19 speakers, specifically designed for the LS 460 to provide the finest in-car audio experience available. In conjunction with the electro multi vision and rear display screens, this system delivers a complete 5.1 home theatre entertainment experience within the luxurious cabin.
"The 2008 Lexus ES 350 is classified among the third generation of the medium size category in Lexus. This vehicle holds a modern and distinctive style embodying the Lexus L-Finesse design philosophy. The ES350 has a long, sleek cabin, a dynamic grille and distinctive wrap-around tail-lamps, giving it a simple yet elegant silhouette. Its flowing lines and tapered front provide for improved aerodynamics, delivering reduced wind noise, a quieter and more relaxing drive," Jadoun added.
"The ES 350 provides an exhilarating drive, powered by a 3.5 litre, V6 engine that delivers an impressive 272 horsepower. With 35.1 kg-m of torque at 4,700 rpm, the ES 350 accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 6.8 seconds. This powerful engine is coupled with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift and uses its wide gear-ratio spread to deliver exceptional torque at any speed," Jadoun further added.
Interiorly, the Lexus ES 350 is provided with a premium 300 watt Mark Levinson Surround Sound audio system with 14 speakers. The ES 350 is furnished with a natural leather upholstery and genuine wood. It also features a Bluetooth technology and a rear view camera which is activated when reverse gear is selected, where a wide angle colored image appears on the screen, revealing objects that may not be visible through the rear window and enabling easy parking.
"We are positive that both cars will add a spirit of excitement and pleasure to drivers," Jadoun concluded.
It is worth mentioning that through test driving the Lexus LS460 and Lexus ES350, drivers got the opportunity to check out the new features and options of both vehicles gauging prowess, performance, and economy in fuel consumption.
