Saudi mulls BAE jet order

Saudi Arabia could be set to order 24 Eurofighter Typhoon combat jets from BAE Systems for around $3.1bn, reported our sister publication Meed. The Gulf state ordered 72 of the aircraft back in September in a deal worth around $9bn but an un-named Saudi government advisor said, with a number of planes set for decommissioning, a fresh order was feasible. Geopolitical tensions were cited as a factor behind new purchases.
