Abby Lindenberg comes to her new role after working for OBG's country intelligence resources in Jordan and Abu Dhabi where she conducted a series of major interviews with government and business figures, including Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi's Executive Affairs Authority; Sultan Nasser Al Suwaidi, Governor of the UAE Central Bank; Ziad Fariz, Jordan's Minister of Finance, and Dr Umayya Toukan, Governor of Jordan's Central Bank.

Lindenberg has a BA from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. Extensive travel in Europe, the Middle East, South America and South East Asia, has rounded out her knowledge of international current affairs, politics and economics, and her ability to handle business on a multicultural level. She previously worked for the reknowned publishers John Wiley and Sons in the United States

Lindenberg said: "Following on from my experience working in Abu Dhabi, I am looking forward very much to resuming my work in the region. It is a fascinating part of the world, and it is so exciting to be here at a time when the Qatar economy is expanding so rapidly, and making its mark on the world."

The appointment of Daniel Moore, who brings with him an editorial and research background from both East and South Africa as well as Europe, comes five years after Oxford Business Group commenced its operations in Qatar. Moore previously spent two years in International Project Development & Coordination with an American-based consultancy company, as well gaining extensive business development experience in France. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with certification in International Business, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in French from Texas A&M University in the United States.

Moore, who will be managing research for the forthcoming The Report: Qatar 2008, said, "My previous experience has equipped me ideally for my new role, and I am delighted to have the opportunity of working in a dynamic country like Qatar, which is forging ahead in a number of sectors within a rapidly developing economy.

"The government of Qatar is doing a first class job directing the economy in a sound and strategic manner, and the next two years will be vital as Qatar looks to become a global as well as a regional hub in a number of areas.

"I am sure that the on-the-ground research assembled for 2008 will give our readers the most insightful and comprehensive coverage of Qatar to date," he said.

Elizabeth Boissevain, OBG's Director of Field Operations, said: "Abby and Daniel are a big additional asset to our Qatar operation, and their well-founded vital experience will add to the quality and dimension of our overall operation in Qatar."

The Report: Qatar 2008, part of a series of OBG publications on the country and rated the premier guide to foreign direct investment in Qatar, will be published in print form and online.
