Radio France Internationale provides training at Dubai Press Club

Radio France Internationale, Paris, a leading publicly funded European broadcaster commenced a specialised training session on radio reporting and programming at the Dubai Press Club. It will be held until the 22nd of November.

The six-day training, organised in cooperation with the Embassy of France in the UAE, has drawn journalists as well as radio presenters from Arabic radio stations in the UAE. It focuses on producing radio news reports and news writing, presenting, interviews, music programming and directing, and live broadcast and recording. It will also provide insights into the technical aspects of sound and digital audio.

Radio France Internationale, broadcasting primarily in French, also offers services in a number of foreign languages, including English, for its Southern Africa, Kenya, the Middle East and South Asian listeners.

Maryam Bin Fahad, Executive Director of Dubai Press Club, said:

Radio France Internationale will present a certificate of attendance to all course participants, in addition to a handbook, in Arabic, on the basic principles of radio broadcast and reporting.

Dubai Press Club organises periodic training workshops for journalists on wide ranging topics to expand their knowledge base and enhance their professional skills. It recently held a three day workshop for business journalists in collaboration with Dow Jones Newswires.
